Q: Good Barbeque Sauce Recipe minus Mustard and Worcestershire sauce?
Anyone have a bbq sauce recipe that doesn’t have mustard or worcestershire sauce in it? I can’t have either one due to allergies.
A: Catsup mixed with grape jelly. (or strawberry jelly) Easy and very good:
1 cup ketchup
1/3 cup lemon juice (optional)
1/3 cup grape jelly
And here’s another easy one:
1bottle chili sauce mixed with 1 can jellied cranberry sauce.

Several years ago I found a recipe using Worcestershire sauce and salsa to cook a roast in a slow cooker. I have lost the recipe and it seems that there was one other ingredient. What could it be?
A: Slow Cooker Family Pot Roast
Ingredients
1 pound medium red potatoes (about 4), cut into 1-inch chunks
1 pound baby carrots
1 large onion, cut into 1/2-inch wedges
2 1/2 pounds lean boneless beef chuck roast, well-trimmed
2 packages McCormick® Brown Gravy Mix
1 cup water
1 teaspoon McCormick® Thyme Leaves
Directions
1. Place potatoes, carrots, 1/2 of the onion wedges and beef in slow cooker.
2. Mix Gravy Mixes, water and thyme; pour over all. Top beef with remaining onion wedges. Cover.
3. Cook 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH or until vegetables are tender.
4. Remove beef and vegetables to serving platter. Spoon some gravy over beef and vegetables. Serve remaining gravy on the side, if desired.

A: Sweet and Sour Sauce.
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon salt
1 small onion
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup water
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cornstarch, in about
1/4 cup water (approximate)
Boil together then thicken with cornstarch to desired thickness.

A: Meatloaf
1-1/2 pounds ground beef (chuck is best)
1/2 pound ground pork sausage (seasoned or not)
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1 large clove of garlic, pressed
1/2 cup minced sweet onion
1/4 cup minced green bell pepper
1 tsp dried oregano, crushed
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 package dry Lipton’s Onion Soup mix
1/2 cup milk
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste, divided use
2 to 4 strips bacon, cut in half (optional)
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine ground beef, pork sausage, eggs, bread crumbs, garlic, sweet onion, bell pepper, oregano, kosher salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, milk, and half of the tomato paste.
Gently mix only until combined. Do not overwork the meat or it will become tough. Form into a loaf. Cover with the remaining half can of tomato paste. Weave the bacon strips over the top.
Bake 1 hour. Let meatloaf rest 15 minutes before cutting to serve.
Yield: 6 servings
As a matter of fact I think that is what I will be fixing for supper!

Q: Pork chop recipe using ketchup and Worcestershire sauce?
I remember awhile ago, I googled pork chop recipes, I found one, made it and it was SO good!.But now I can’t find it again..
It was pork chops and u mix Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and a few other things in a pot on the stove, then u pour it on both sides of the pork chops and bake in the oven.
Can anyone find me a recipe like this? Thanks!!
A: Baked Pork Chops
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons ketchup
6 pork chops, trimmed
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a small bowl, thoroughly blend soy sauce, vegetable oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, and ketchup.
Place pork chops in a medium baking dish, and spread with 1/2 the sauce.
Bake pork chops 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Turn, and spread with remaining sauce. Continue baking 15 minutes, or until internal temperature of the chops has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Saucy Baked Chops
2 tablespoons butter
6 boneless pork chops
1 to taste salt and pepper to taste
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup ketchup
2 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Over medium-high heat, melt butter in a large saucepan. Add pork chops and cook until browned on both sides. Season with salt and pepper. Top with onion slices.
In a bowl, stir together soup, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Pour soup mixture over pork chops.
Cover pan and simmer until meat is no longer pink inside and thermometer reads 160 to 170 degrees F (71 to 77 degrees C), about 40 to 50 minutes.

Broiled Pork Chops
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops
Directions
In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, paprika, chili powder and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside half of the sauce.
Preheat broiler.
Brush both sides of the chops with sauce. Place chops on broiling pan rack. Broil about 4 inches from the heat for 4 minutes on each side. Brush with more sauce. Continue broiling, turning and basting every 3 to 4 minutes, until juices run clear. Serve with reserved sauce.

Haven’t got any, is there an alternative I can use? I know you can use soy sauce but I haven’t got any of that either!

A: Turkey Chili with Worcestershire sauce :
1 kg ground turkey
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
½ tsp red pepper flakes, crushed
1 tbsp cumin, ground
2 bay leaves
1 tbsp paprika
1 medium onion, chopped
60 ml Worcestershire sauce
60 ml dry red wine
2 cloves garlic, minced
250 ml tomato puree
Cheddar cheese, grated
salt and pepper, to taste
how to:
- Place turkey in a large bowl and add chili powder, oregano, basil, onion, red pepper flakes, cumin, bay leaves and paprika. Mix turkey with mixture to coat well.
- Then place turkey in a large saucepan and add Worcestershire and red wine. Cover and cook over medium heat 1.5 hours, stirring often.
- Add garlic and tomato puree and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with grated Cheddar cheese.

Homemade Worcestershire Sauce Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large sweet onions, roughly chopped
1/2 cup tamarind paste
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons minced ginger
2 jalapenos, seeds removed and minced
1/4 cup chopped canned anchovies
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 whole cloves
2 tablespoons freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1 cup molasses
3 cups white vinegar
1 cup dark beer
1/2 cup orange juice
2 cups water
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced
PREPARATION:
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and saute the chopped sweet onion until soft, about 7 minutes.
Strain Worcestershire sauce into a glass bottle and refrigerate.
Yield: about 6 cups
Homemade Worcestershire Sauce recipe
ingredients
4 shallots
4 cups (1 litre) 1 3/4 pint good malt vinegar
6 tbsp walnut ketchup
75 ml anchovy essence
4 tbls soy sauce
1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
salt
method
1. Skin and chop the shallots very finely.
2. Put with all the other ingredients into a large bottle, and cork it tightly.
3. Shake well 3 or 4 times daily for about 14 days, then strain the sauce into small, prepared bottles, leaving a headspace.
4. Cork tightly, a boiled cork to fit the bottle and either waxed or covered with greaseproof paper tied securely over, label, and store in a cool, dry place.

A: soy sauce.
But if you want to try something a little different, use italian dressing. Just marinate them in the dressing for 2-3 hours and bake or grill them. So easy, but a really nice savory flavor.

A: HONEY BARBEQUE CHICKEN
Add Tabasco sauce for more kick
4 whole chicken breasts, boneless,
seasoned salt
garlic salt
pepper
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 bottle bbq
honey 1/2 cup
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup flour
Slice chicken into 1/2 inch strips (can use any size or type to suit your needs, works well with wings). Place the chicken in a in large bowl and coat with Worcestershire.
Sprinkle with seasoned salt, garlic salt and pepper. Put oil into frying pan and heat to med/high to fry chicken.
In a bowl, coat pieces of chicken with flour. Fry chicken in a skillet with oil on medium/high heat until golden brown.
Mix BBQ sauce and honey in a small bowl.
Place chicken on a cookie sheet or oven pan. Brush or drizzle BBQ mix over chicken and bake at 400F for 10 min.
Remove chicken – baste again with BBQ mix and return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Substitutions can be used for most ingredients. The important part is to fry, then bake with the BBQ sauce.
