Q: Recipe for Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad Dressing???
Does anyone know the receipe for Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad Dressing? I have searched the web for the dressing recipe but they all seem to contain these ingredients:
Applebee’s Oriental Dressing
3 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
I tried this receipe and it doesn’t come close to the one at applebees’s. The Dijoin Mustard makes the dressing salad yellow and it has a very strong taste. The applebees’s dressing is white and doesn,t seem like there is any Dijoin Mustard added.

This is NOT the same as the Oriental Chicken Salad dressing. I’ve searched online and can’t find it anywhere.

Q: can’t find the recipe for a sweet white asian salad dressing! blarg?
i’ve been trying various recipes for an oriental dressing that i’ve had at various restaurants. most common was at Apple-bees on their oriental chicken salad. it’s delicious! but all i can gather is i know there is a touch of vinegar, a lot of sugar, and the base is mayo. but i can’t find the right recipe, none of them turn out quite right or as close as everywhere i’ve eaten at get. the dressing is always creamy white and very sweet. tastes so good. can anyone help find the recipe if you’ve ever had the salad before?
A: You are doing the right thing , by trying different ingredients.
Just that you might be missing one or two things that will suddenly tweak your own recipe to taste
the right way.
I have a recipe for a Mandarin salad that has a home made dressing that you may also love that is very Asian tasting. It can be doubled. or halved
Use Romaine lettuce
1/2 Sliced sweet Vidalia Onion or green onion
Sliced English cucumber
1/2 cup Slivered almonds
1/4 cup artificial Bacon bits
two cans of drained Mandarin Oranges layered into this salad
Dressing
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
2 or 3 drops Tabasco Sauce or more.
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp granulated garlic powder
Shake it up in a jar or use a blender.
Q: Souplantation/Sweet Tomato recipe?
I found two recipes from Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes on the internet. One was for the Cream of Broccoli soup and the other was for the Oriental Chicken WonTon Salad. I tried them both and neither came out as well as the restaurants version. Does anybody have any other recipes for Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes?

Q: Question about vegetarian options at Applebee’s?
I contacted Applebee’s about the lack of vegetarian options on their menu and got this reply. Has anyone ever tried any of these items? Know the nutritional value? My fmaily is going out to eat tonight for my sister’s bday and I don’t know what to order.
Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate your feedback on our availability of vegetarian menu items. Below is our “vegetarian email” that was put together by one of our associates, Shannon, who is also a vegetarian. Shannon has ordered from our menu for years so it only made sense to have her write it so that our vegetarian guests would get some great use out of it. I hope this is helpful to you too.
Your server, or the kitchen manager on duty at any of our restaurants, will be happy to assist you in selecting an entrée that meets your taste and dietary needs. The good news is that many of our menu items, including the ones below, can be made meatless or are meatless already. When applicable, just ask your server for “no bacon” or “no chicken” (etc.) when ordering.
Try any of our variety of salads, sandwiches and pasta bowls, which can be made vegetarian.
Pastas – Chicken & Broccoli Pasta Alfredo (no chicken), Cheddar Jack Mac and Cheese (no chicken), Grilled Teriyaki Bowl (no meat)
Salads – Grilled Shrimp & Spinach Salad (no bacon bits nor bacon vinaigrette dressing), Santa Fe Chicken Salad (no chicken), Caesar Salad (no chicken)
Sandwiches – Chicken Fajita Roll-up (no chicken), Three Cheese Chicken Penne (no chicken), Grilled Cheese BLT (no bacon), Oriental Chicken Rollup (no chicken)
Appetizers – Nachos Nuevos (no meat), Mozzarella Sticks, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Queso Dip and Chips, Crunchy Onion Rings
Others – Veggie Patch Pizza, Sizzling Vegetable Fajitas
For an overall healthy, well-balanced approach to dining, please also view our selection of Weight Watchers items that are located throughout the menu.
Applebee’s does not claim its products to be vegetarian to meet the requirements for a vegetarian diet or to meet the criteria for any other special dietary regimen. Dairy and egg products may be present in meatless recipes. Trace amounts of meat or animal products may be present as a result of preparation or cooking.
We value you as a loyal Applebee’s consumer and hope you’ll give the above items a try!
Where in my question did I ask them to CHANGE their menu? I was asking if they had any veggie options because I saw none on the online menu. Normally I wouldn’t touch a place like Applebee’s because not only it is biased towards meat dishes, but it’s also a heart attack waiting to happen. Ever wonder why the nutritional info isn’t available on the website? Today’s more health conscious eaters would take one look at it and never walk in that place again. Haven’t you gotten a life yet, instead of trolling a section you know nothing about and offering uneducational and completely biased answers?
“I contacted Applebee’s about the lack of vegetarian options” could mean numerous things. I did contact them about their lack of vegetarian options, that’s not a lie. I contacted them to see if possibly their in-restaurant menus varied from their online menu and if there were vegetarian dishes offered at certain locations. What’s contradictory about that?
A: I’ve had all of the appetizers, and they’re not bad. The spinach & artichoke dip is good, and the queso & chips is okay.
The Veggie Patch Pizza is really bad.
It offends me to order a meat based entree (like a chicken pasta dish) and 86 the meat, which is 63% of the food cost of the menu item.
Q: can u create a recipe for my dinner today (i’m already starving)?
the following ingredients are availabe
chicken, beef, 1 egg, milk, chocolate soy milk, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, parmesean, spagetti noodles, macaroni noodles, oriental noodles, pasta sauce canned, onions, potatoes, carrots, green peppers, lettuce, tomatos, green beans, green onions, 1 zuccini, margarine, red and brown onions, rice, brown rice, hawaiian bread, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, lime juice, salad dressing (italian), oranges, 1 apple, 3 bananas, spices, plain yogurt, frozen strawberries, seaweed, chicken broth, fish broth, hot sauce, tabasco sauce, garlic, wasabi, black beans, cranberry sauce, turkey gravey
I think that’s it.
Who ever makes the most creative (but has to be edible) dish using my ingredients win! And I will make it tonight and serve it to my husband.
A: Marinate your chicken in the Italian dressing for an hour or so. Bake. Make the brown rice as a side dish. Take the onions, carrots, green peppers, zucchini and make a stir fry vegetable dish. Then take the oranges, apple, bananas, strawberries and yogurt and make a fruit salad.

Ramen Spagetti by Neil Primmer
Ingredients Your desired no. of Ramen Bricks
Spagetti sauce
Preparation If you are tired of normal flavored Ramen, try Ramen spaghetti. Simply cook the Ramen as normal, but don’t add the flavor packets. Drain the water and add spaghetti sauce. Then heat the mixture in the microwave for about a minute. This will taste almost as good as normal spaghetti, but is a lot cheaper and easier to make.

A: I don’t think that you’re being clear on what you want. Instead of printing a ton of recipes, why don’t you be very specific of what it is you’re looking for. I’m sure there are a lot of people who can help, but I, myself, was totally confused. Just a thought.
